As a partner in Miami-Dade Public Schools Museums Magnet Program, a visit to the historic Dade Heritage Trust office offers a great educational experience.
Our headquarters is located in the original office of Dr. James Jackson which was constructed in 1905 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. We have three exhibit spaces, a preservation library and a native plant garden.
Educators, please arrange for your K-12 class or group to visit Dade Heritage Trust. History, architecture, Miami’s cultural and medical history, art, design and environmental preservation are all topics addressed on a visit to DHT. Activities are also included. Pre-and post visit materials will be available mid-February 2016.
Your class is welcome to bring lunch and enjoy our veranda overlooking Biscayne Bay.
