The Coconut Grove Crisis Food Pantry, Inc. was acknowledged for its unwavering commitment to serving the community. Established in 1984 at the historic Christ Episcopal Church in Village West Coconut Grove, the Pantry originated from a collective recognition of the need to support those facing hunger in the area. Initially, it was a collaborative effort among local churches, which expanded over time as additional neighborhood churches joined in. To further their mission, dedicated volunteers began assembling pre-packed bags of groceries, delivering them directly to clients.
