Stambul Construction garnered praise for its remarkable adaptive re-use of the 1936 Walgreens Building at 200 East Flagler Street in downtown Miami. This Streamline Moderne Art Deco gem, under the ownership of Daniel Peña Giraldi, attained historic landmark status in 1988 and functioned as a department store for many years. Recently, Stambul Construction, in at the direction of Peña Giraldi, spearheaded the transformation of this iconic structure into “Julia & Henry’s,” a lively entertainment and culinary destination. Peña Giraldi’s visionary approach prioritized historical preservation alongside contemporary needs, exemplifying the seamless integration of tradition and progress in urban revitalization endeavors.
