Models of Preservation: Selected Works by MDC School of Architecture Students
Exhibit Open House at Dade Heritage Trust
Thursday, May 25, 6-8pm
“This work comes from my ARC2701 Architecture History course. The students are in their first year of architecture studies. I wanted them to better understand the implications of history in the study of architecture by having them investigate architectural relics and artifacts in their own communities and document them through graphic images, architectural drawings and the scale models. Students were allowed to work in groups or individually. This project was also intended to introduce them to the relevance of architecture historical preservation and the work of the DHT. These students received service learning hours for their work.”
